  2. This file contains all messages appearing in alert boxes. Each
  3. message carries an ID number. As a guideline there is an
  4. English "model message" for each ID. Replace the "real" message
  5. text below each model by your message text.
  6. Make sure not to use an ID more than one time. A message contains 
  7. three "*" in the beginning, then "/"+id+"/", then the message and 
  8. as termination again three "*".
  9. Alert box messages can contain a max. of 4 lines each with up to
  10. 30 characters. The lines are being separated by a "|". If there are
  11. no "|" the separation will be performed automatically, but as soon
  12. as you insert one "|", you must also do the separation for the
  13. other lines manually. Make sure that no line gets longer than the
  14. maximum of 30 characters! Do not use " " " inside the message, 
  15. use " ' " instead!
  16. In some cases two parts of a message have separate IDs, if a 
  17. numeric or string variable is being made use of by the alert 
  18. message. This is to give you the option to modify even the 
  19. sequence of words regarding the given structure of your country's 
  20. language (e.g. the German "Datei 'Rock' laden" becomes "Load file 
  21. 'Rock'" in English). 
  22. All partial message are indicated by the digits of the IDs that 
  23. make up the whole message (e.g. message 00 and 01 make up one 
  24. complete message, 
  25. this is indicated by the "00+01" in the model line!).  
  26. Be aware of spaces and separation marks "|", they are often 
  27. necessary to get proper results! 
  28. Conversion of differing IBM and ATARI characters is being performed 
  29. by the program when loading the messages! 
  30.  
  31. You may use any IBM or ATARI word processing software, but in any
  32. case save the file as pure ASCII file (no specific word 
  33. processing related information)!! Maybe you print out this 
  34. version before starting with the modifications!
